8. Financial Assistance:

Khadi & V.I. Commission has launched a scheme under “ Rural Employment Generation Programme” for financing projects with investment limits up to Rs.25.00 lakhs for Rural Industrialisation and Employment Generation. Under this Scheme, Rs 2.5 lakhs as maximum margin money to general category and Rs 3.00 lakhs as maximum margin money to women , weaker section, Minority, Physically handicapped, Hill Tribal Boarder Areas etc is provided by KVIC. Banks will sanction 90% of the project cost in case of general category borrower and 95% for weaker section beneficiary/Institution and disburse full amount of the loan.

10. Accommodation:

The training centre has a Hostel with intake capacity of 20 persons and with all the facilities for mess and recreation.

11. Quality Control:

The raw materials and chemicals are tested at Testing Quality control and standardisation unit, MDTC, CMI, KVIC, Dahanu as per the standards of BIS in order to enforce quality production. This testing quality control laboratory, fully equipped, is a boon for cottage match units to produce quality matches.

12. Technical Assistance:

Technical Staff are deployed to conduct training programme and also help cottage match units to overcome technical problems and produce quality products.

13. Demand in abroad:

Matches produced by cottage match units financed by KVIC are exported to countries like Kenya, Dubai.
